This Gentleman is a Treasure of Our island and our Twitter X He had hoped to reach 45k followers before retiring his AMAZING Account of images from across Newfoundland and his life. He is the Sweetest and will be missed here, will you please follow him and check out his account to make someone NOT verified or getting paid here, just make his goal come true... 🥹❣️ Please 😭 Thankyou
Failing health does not allow me to go out taking pictures now. I no longer have the energy to spend hours answering messages either. I now content myself posting pictures I enjoy on X and hope you like them. Given this I appreciate the people who have continued to follow me.

Hahaha
I'm crying 🤣🤣🤣 Four people were charged with insurance fraud after dressing up as a bear, damaging their own vehicles, and filing claims. The submitted footage and photos show the “bear” entering the vehicle and causing scratches to the seats and doors.

We need to pool our money and buy all of these before the tate brothers do. I'm serious, I have been BATMEL since the 80s.
Warner Bros is selling 10 “fully functional but not street legal” Tumbler Batmobiles from Christopher Nolan's ‘DARK KNIGHT’ films Each is priced at $3M.

One of my favourite constellations
The Pleiades, captured in infrared light! In this image, taken by the WISE space telescope, the surrounding dust—visible in infrared—shines even brighter than the stars themselves. The Pleiades is a star cluster located in the constellation Taurus.

How I start when I respond to any joke from anyone about Newfoundlanders and Labradorians! #NLwx #Explorenl #WehavePuppies #Newfoundland #Labrador #LOVENL #GorgeousGreenBayNL And if needed I'll add more and then to finish em off I rubs in the " Newfies in heaven are the only ones that wants to go home" And then I get responses like That's where I want to be or WOW tell me more... 😉 Newfoundland and Labrador I got you my beautiful peeps ❤️

In the vast cosmic theater, some of the most enigmatic performers might not be what they seem. Recent research suggests that what we've been identifying as black holes could, in some cases, actually be something even more exotic: wormholes. The challenge lies in telling them apart. Both black holes and wormholes are incredibly dense gravitational objects that can only be detected through their shadows' signatures. When astronomers captured the groundbreaking image of M87*'s black hole using the Event Horizon Telescope, they opened a new chapter in our understanding of these cosmic giants. However, this discovery also raised an intriguing question: how can we be certain what we're looking at? Scientists from Sofia University have tackled this puzzle by studying polarization patterns - the way light waves orient themselves when traveling through space. Using sophisticated computer simulations, they compared how light behaves around both black holes and wormholes. Their findings were surprising: at certain angles, the polarization signatures of wormholes appear remarkably similar to those of black holes. The key difference lies in the details. While both objects bend light in similar ways, wormholes might reveal their true nature through subtle variations in their polarization patterns and intensities. The researchers discovered that these differences become more apparent when observing strongly lensed indirect images - light that has been bent around the object multiple times. This research opens up the tantalizing possibility that some of the objects we've classified as black holes might actually be cosmic shortcuts through spacetime. While we can't yet definitively identify wormholes, these findings provide astronomers with new tools and perspectives for future observations. As our technology and understanding advance, we might need to revise our cosmic catalog. Read our ISF article to learn more: 🔗spacefed.com/astronomy/are-s…

Question for Newfoundlanders and Cfas ... my crikey my sinuses and barometric pressure are just hammering my head. Migraines and I realise this is weather related as well, apart from me going to Florida... Do you have a secret cure to help me adjust !? Sincerely a formerly flat lander Aussie!

More amazing footages from Mark Smith!
Anglers spend thousands of dollars and spend countless hours trying to catch a very popular game fish, the snook. Meanwhile, bottlenose dolphins are just tossing them around like Frisbees. Gotta love the wild world that lives under the ocean! Glad I’m not a snook.
