FDIC just proposed rules for the GENIUS Act. Stablecoin issuers need 1:1 reserves in treasuries and cash, must redeem within 2 days, and large redemptions over 10% of supply require FDIC notification. Stablecoins themselves aren't FDIC insured though. The reserves are.
Today, our Board of Directors approved a proposed rule that would establish requirements under the GENIUS Act for FDIC-supervised stablecoin issuers.
