Look, we can expand this conversation (and yes all those things are true).
My original response was to the claim that 47% is a low number. It demonstrated someone unfamiliarity with (or intentionally misleading about) engineering. All machines lose energy to heat.
And I'm not here to debate against wind or solar either.
Depending on where you live, chances are the electricity in the ev is made using fossil fuels with machines with similar efficiency numbers.
As for turbines and panels, all those things you mentioned also apply. Mining, manufacturing, and ultimately end of life, repeat.
You can't put sunlight in your car either.
There are inputs and there are outputs.
There's a part of the programming process where the Bitty has a soul, but yet no instructions. The chest LED beats as if to signal it's readiness to receive the programming.

Well alright! We've arrived somewhere.
So painting, making music, and cooking is art. (Glad we settled that)

STANFORD TORUS MEGATHREAD
You’ve seen the pictures, but you probably don’t know the full story.
It's the result of a 10-week engineering study at Stanford University in 1975, funded by NASA and led by Girard O’Neill - the most thorough study on free-space settlement to date.

Myth: US military support for #Ukraine is unaffordable.
Fact: For 25 cents each day per American, the Ukrainians are dismantling the conventional military forces of the Russian Federation.

🧵/ link in the last tweet. We’ve all seen how badly Russia depends on Western technologies, including when it comes to military. Let’s take a look at what they can produce without any Western technologies at all: weird unusable ATV with "Lada" 106 HP engine for more than $100K⬇️
I love the fact that Ukraine getting weapons that repel, localize, and derail hostile offensive actions in its territory is always an ESCALATION!!!!, and at the same time Russia’s overt campaign to bomb Ukraine into the stone age in the middle of winter is totally fine 👍
