Young Marsh Harrier close to fledgling strengthening its wing muscles, exploring around the nest site & briefly lofting above the reed bed, not easy in strong winds. Its brilliant ginger cap that distinguishes it as a young bird (3 -6 months) is replace its downey first feathers.
