They should also have looked at Cross Country. When I was a freshman, EMU was 3rd at NCAAs (we - UofM were 8th). Incredible tradition in Track and XC at EMU
EMU’s main booster wing asked itself a couple years back: “Where can we compete for a national championship?” The answer was golf, so GameAbove invested accordingly, and within the rules, and now they’re in the national semifinals. Hate the game, don’t hate the player.

My kids found these odd footprints in our yard. Are they playing a trick on me?

As a foreigner who ran in the NCAA, I'm still not in favor of teams recruiting internationals via middlemen recruitment agencies, and athletes who are over 20 as freshmen.

Many pro basketball leagues around the world have a cap on how many internationals you can have on a team. NCAA XC would benefit from this. I'd like to limit a team to 3 internationals counting towards your score.

Just an incredible men's 1500m this weekend. So many things played out that I would never have dreamed were possible a couple of years ago. 3:32 prelims. Front running in the wind. Boxed guys looking out of it, then running 52s last laps from lane 2 in a 3:30 race. Nuts.

I think one major factor for the improved performances in distance running by the west, which I havent seen mentioned anywhere, is the significant reduction in partying by the athletes. In the past, only a small minority abstained. Now it's the vast majority.

There's a level of professionalism that has been adopted by most at much younger ages.

If someone like Habz can run 3:27.4 having to lead the last 500m, forget anyone going wire to wire for the win in Tokyo. We're going to have 6 guys in 326-27 shape in the final. I predict Jakob skips the 15 this year, and Nuguse ends up leading after a messy 60s first lap

Track is America’s Opportunity Sport It’s America’s cheapest & largest HS sport, providing the most accessible pathway to college Due to the House settlement, many colleges will likely start cutting Olympic sports. We cannot let track be one of them sportico.com/leagues/college…
