Black Americans have been living through family separation our entire existence in the US.
You can’t push back against immigrant mistreatment while you simultaneously look the other way when it comes to Black American mistreatment.
It just doesn’t work that way.
Ms. Rachel: As the American Academy of Pediatrics says, there is no safe amount of time for a child to be in detention. The Dilley immigration detention center must be shut down. We need to end the cruel policies of family detention and family separation.
