I've been building Total Recall for the past few months, and it has truly changed how I work.
Just the other day, I was about to test a small embedding model. I opened a fresh session, but before sending the agent on a spree of endless research, testing, and analysis - I asked: "Hey, do you remember if we checked this before?"
In mere seconds, and for a few 100s of tokens, I had the answer:
Turns out we sure did.
We've run the research and testing in early April and decided against it because it caused a regression in the evals.
It proceeded to tell me the *exact* story of what had happened, what pivots we made, the precise numbers from the evals, and more.
This little question just saved me hundreds of thousands of tokens in testing and running something we've done before.
This is only a small example. I have dozens of these in every session. Total Recall has become infrastructure. The intelligence layer for my agents and myself.
Context is everything. Memory is crucial. But it's the pauses, the negative space, the connections between the dots, the subtleties that are so easy to overlook - that's where true value, true intelligence lives.
Total Recall proactively, intuitively weaves context, memory, and that subtle "in-between" space together.
