In recognition and to celebrate the Most Games Played record that Boomer should still hold (@ around 475 games) if @NMFCOfficial hadn't prematurely moved him on, Essendon has sacked Brad Scott.
Unpopular opinion: Not insured against never playing AFL again - not an income protection scheme.
Concussed players insured against not being able to work again post retirement. Can't retire, make a $m claim & go on with a non-afl player job/lifestyle.
Independent arbiter said no
club self-interest. most vocal are those with upcoming expected high picks - blues, bombers and port. Sam harris for example not expected to be top 30. McCartney??
So the aflpa represents the players, the aflca represented the coaches, the aflua represents the umpires....so who represents the clubs in these matters? It seems obvious that it isnt the AFL based on ongoing feedback re draft rule changes etc
If the @afl Tribunal has a sense of humour they'd order a retrial.
JJ and Port's KC both guilty of disengaging from proceedings for a period of time. One for an open inspection the other to deal with a barking dog
Will the @afl or AFLUA appeato a higher jurisdiction?
There has been recently a lack of that another 190cm 'tweener defender on the list. LMac is 31yo, Arch & Goater often injured. The 'Bull' at 190cm, very good overhead & can play taller. Might just develop into that player for @NMFCOfficial. Looking forward to the next few games
If Taylor Goad was playing this week, surely @NMFCOfficial would have said something by now, as they have done with many debutants in the past. Presumably his relatives would need time to organise travel arrangements from SA. Just sayin'.
"You can just see there has been a system change. Of course they’re not the finished product ... but at least there’s something they can work off."
For years a big flaw, North is finally showing signs of defensive improvement.

FWIW Taylor Goad 19 disposals, 10 clearances, 26 hitouts vs AFL Academy. Harry Van Hattum 11 disposals 1 clearance 16 hitout.
Someone had posted that the Academy 1st ruck had beaten Goad. Data seems to confirm the eye test that he didn't.
FWIW In the absence of other data Rookie me listed Goad amongst NM reserves best. Van Hattum (AFL 1st ruck) not listed in their best. North Melbourne Best: L. Dovaston, M. Whitlock, Z. Fisher, T. Goad, C. Harvey, B. George @NMFCOfficial report along similar lines.
