As a nation we have turned our back on God and His Word, and we are seeing the results. Violence, crime, and suicide are rampant. As Christians, we need to be more intentional than ever about PRAYER. The Bible instructs us to make prayer a priority. Pray for our leaders—from the president, to those serving in Congress, to those in leadership at the state and local level—that God would give them wisdom, guide them, and have mercy on our nation. My father @BillyGraham once said, “Prayer is the Christian’s greatest weapon.” On this National Day of Prayer—and every day—let’s stop and seek God.

I don’t know who has spoken words over you and about you that have broken your heart. But I know a statement that comes against truth must be called a lie. God’s Word is the Truth. And His Truth says you are a dearly loved child of your heavenly Father. Special. Full of purpose.

Remember ... today is the best day. Live out a Bible verse or two. Write the first sentence. Sign up for that class. Run that first lap. Make the phone call. Apologize and give grace. When we multiply these choices over the years, we’ll be amazed at what happens.❤️

Our seasons of suffering are not for nothing. They will grow us... shape us... soften us. They will allow us to experience God’s comfort and compassion. And we will find life-giving purpose and meaning when we allow God to take our painful experiences and comfort others.

No matter how impossible that miracle you are praying for seems, please trust that only God knows the full story. He is working. He is hearing and shifting and intervening and convicting and stirring and doing what only He can do. God does some of His best work in the unseen.
