Lakers might as well sign this guy out of the stands, he probably shoots better then their wings too šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø

Ends up as Knicks in 5 šŸ† Feel like I had a pretty solid read of how it would play out (still a lot of unexpected things) Ultimately, NY seemed like they were a little more comfortable on both ends & had more reliable creation/shot-making which really showed late in games.

Super confident in my pick, Knicks win this series and it won’t take 7 games.

This played a big part, the Towns at the 5 lineups were able to keep Wemby more honest than he was in previous rounds. NY was able to get SAS scrambling before shooting it so well that they kind of abandoned putting 2 on the ball to stay home. Brunson brought it home tonight.

Let’s see how it plays out, especially with injuries, but I see a Rock-Paper-Scissors dynamic between OKC/SAS/NY. SAS > OKC: No paint drill, smother SGA, make inconsistent shooters beat you NY > SAS: Make SA guard to a man w/ 5-out OKC > NY (?): Shai comes alive, hound Brunson

14 1st half minutes for Dylan Harper just isn’t enough. Kids gotta play, not sure what else he has to show to be out there.

All of these were on the ā€œroadā€ too. 3-0 with the average margin of victory being 39.3 is nuts. If there’s any number to look at, that says a team is ready to win a championship, it’s that one.
Knicks in closeout games this playoffs: G6 Hawks: W by 51 G4 76ers: W by 30 G4 Cavs: W by 37 Closeout Knicks might be a real thing

Dylan Harper is averaging the most PPG in the Finals by a rookie since Magic in 1980.

Their season ended in that 3rd quarter. Lost count of how many 0-1 pass possessions they had that ended in a missed jumper. They didn’t work as hard to find quality shots and the long rebounds (& tovs) got the ball rolling for the Knicks in transition. The rest is history.
Fox deserves criticism he's getting BUT go rewatch it and good lord... the spurs do not run anything. Largely, just standing around ball watching

KAT is a special talent. He was often maligned in Minnesota for making that Rudy partnership work trying to cosplay as a wing spotting up, attacking closeouts, running PNR, etc. Now in NY he’s playing the best ball of his career & the team is an absolute juggernaut. Salute.
Not only does KAT lead all NBA players in /- this postseason ( 262) and all players in the Finals ( 48), Towns has posted a positive plus/minus in every single one of the 18 games the Knicks have played in these playoffs. That’s the longest such streak in NBA postseason history Seems pretty good for a "soft" center who can wing big games

Spurs were 11 for 16 from deep with a 25 point lead 15.5 minutes into last nights game. A minute later KAT picks up his 3rd going for a rebound. For just about every team that would’ve been an early dagger, but the Knicks have been resilient all postseason, this is their year.

11 made 3s from 7 different guys and no turnovers to start a playoff game on the road of that magnitude is about as perfect as you could start brutal game not to get

Sloppy start for the Knicks, MSG is dead silent.

Whether you like it or not, that’s the correct overturn made by Zarba and his crew. KAT has an early 2 and likely has to sit for some time. Mitchell Robinson has a chance to play a big role in Game 4, after not playing much in Game 3.

Spurs used a lot more double-drag in Game 3, and they were able to find openings. Wemby was able to get behind KAT a few times with NY not being able to bump as easy. The handlers could also turn the corner or get Brunson in space. Let’s see how the Knicks counter tonight.

i expect more double-drag and less wedge screens so the knicks can’t impede wemby as a roller as easily wemby being able to roll easier gives the drop big less freedom to slow the handler that’ll open up a 1 on 1 vs a recovering knicks defender in the middle of the floor

Seeing a lot of KAT getting phased out discourse, but not enough credit for how San Antonio defended him. It started with putting smalls on him to take away the 3P line & nullify the advantage he had with his 1st step. Then every time he did get a catch the Spurs were loaded.

Just got gifted a green Gary Payton Sonics jersey. It’s only a matter of time until the city has a team again. Season opener at Climate Pledge is when I’ll rock it for the first time.

Dylan Harper rebounds down so well for a guard, an underrated part of tonight’s game.

2 free throws to ice a game at MSG in the NBA Finals shouldn’t be overlooked. Those makes and the grenade triple were huge for San Antonio to get on the board. We’ve got a series now.

The biggest make of De’Aaron Fox’s basketball career. Wemby couldn’t shed KAT trying to come up and set a pick. Fox sensed the clock going down and got to an operational area to knock in what should be the dagger.
