This is a hell of story. Not just the shootings, the breadth of which is absolutely wild, but the social trends, the failure of our ever more highly paid police force, and the apparent ease with which one can hire somebody to shoot up a building. It's actually kind of astounding that more people aren't injured by gunfire in Toronto.
It's almost as if the point is not to injure but something else.
