Most people don’t understand why Cardano stands out. Despite or even precisely because of the last incident. Bitcoin or PoW in general, gets security from physics. You can’t fake energy. You can’t mine on every fork. Thermodynamics make the rules. PoS doesn’t get that for free. Stake is digital, copyable, replayable, signable on every fork. Without having to expend a lot of energy. Most PoS chains just pretend this isn’t a problem. Cardano didn’t. It built VRF leader selection, stake snapshots, long-range protection, deterministic epochs, and mathematically proven finality. All peer-reviewed and actually equivalent to Nakamoto-style security. PoW needs one rule: follow the most work. PoS needs real research. And the last incident on Cardano just proved one thing: The math held. That’s the difference.

What is fascinating about yesterday's event is how Cardano recovered from a minority chain and got rid of the symptom while preserving most of the history and progress since the incident. 🧵

Hydra Node version 1.0.0 has finally been released! Now, Cardano can leverage a new kind of solution that most smart contract chains including Ethereum simply can’t implement. Even though I work as an engineer in another ecosystem, I honestly think Cardano’s Hydra is on a completely different level compared to other scaling solutions. It’s more efficient, simpler, and incredibly fast.

Saturday’s adventure was into Chicago covering the train ride in the walk-through downtown in the financial district as well as the architectural boat tour at just after sunset. This was amazing! I got to meet a few new legends in person as well as spend the day with the crew.
