Looks like western-European style taxes are also coming to Bulgaria soon, where they steal most your income, make everything artificially expensive, and call this 'progressive'.

have now successfully rendered a Qt window without X11 or wayland, zero-copy, sharing EGL textures with dma-buf/gbm. Compositor will use kms/drm, but for now running under X11.
In short; a new display server protocol is born. 😜 fuck you wayland and x11

My Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 9 died after 4 years of light use. Common issue; wonky USB-C ports that eventually refuse to charge. Unacceptable for such an expensive machine. Various Lenovo Thinkpad models suffer from this same issue. Buy another brand folk!

Because Linux Distro devs (though skilled) are hobbyists and not professionals. No accountability. No user testing or feedback. No leadership. Just people making the thing they want for their own reasons.

The package manager was first written in Python, then golang. Got a bit bored with golang after a while. Rewrote it in plain ol' C . Oh well.

update 3: .fpk package manager almost finished: (simple) dep solver, repo indices, minisign pubkeys, extract-and-crc32-while-downloading, and a 'world' file like Alpine's apk 😴😴😴

update 2: .fpk is now working (ferdi packages). Next up is 'fbuild' for YAML based package building, and also OS images. After that, the package manager.
