@elonmusk @xai
As a paying SuperGrok subscriber ($30/mo), I'm not writing this as a fan asking for favors - I'm writing as a customer asking you to honor what you publicly committed to.
WHAT YOU PROMISED
You stated the daily video generation limits clearly: 50 / 100 / 500 per day for Premium / Premium / Heavy.

WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING
Two days ago, I generated ~30 videos in 720p with no problem. Today, after generating just about a dozen, a system notification abruptly informed me that my 720p limit was exhausted, forcing a switch to 480p. Getting a notification is one thing, but getting cut off at a fraction of the promised limit with zero transparent usage tracking is the real problem. This instability is becoming a pattern.
THE 480p FALLBACK IS MECHANICALLY BROKEN
With a prompt built for smooth cinematic motion ("slow motion, slow smooth cinematic camera movement, professional cinematography..."), the 480p output has severe jittering and shake. When you rely on AI generation tools for producing high-quality creative visuals, this downgraded footage is simply unusable. You are rationing the high-quality tier I paid for, and the fallback tier is broken.
THE COLOSSUS 1 CONTEXT
On May 6, 2026, xAI leased Colossus 1 (220k GPUs) to Anthropic. Limits tightened sharply right after this deal was announced. You can't communicate a multi-billion-dollar deal to the press in full detail and then leave your own subscribers to hit an undocumented wall mid-session. That asymmetry - full transparency upward, silence downward - is the actual problem.
WHAT I'M ASKING FOR:
1. Publish current limits: State them per tier and resolution on an official page. No "it depends on load."
2. Fix the 480p jitter: If 480p can't deliver smooth motion, it is not an acceptable downgrade target.
3. Honor the quotas: Either stick to the 50/100/500 limits you publicly announced or formally notify subscribers of the cuts in advance.
4. Disclose the impact: State on the record how the Colossus 1 lease affects SuperGrok capacity.
I'm asking for the basic transparency and product integrity that any paid service owes its customers.
