Sometimes I feel like I’m going crazy because the UK government is focused on every other issue except the fact PEOPLE CAN’T AFFORD TO FILL THEIR FRIDGE???

If Digital ID is so safe and secure, why would MPs and members of the Royal Family need exemptions?

Just seen this: 'Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards.' So it's not just a ban for kids, it's ID-gating half of the internet.

"Stare at a wall" is so apt bc there is literally nothing for kids to do here anymore. Parks are for young children, so teens get chased out, everything is super expensive so you can't go on a day out, and there's precious little nature left to explore. Thats all you can do.

Banning them from social media when third spaces for children have been decimated… if you guys thought kids were wayward now, you wait until they’re really bored and actually go outside to an urban environment that often excludes them 😂
I don’t think politicians understand how different life is for teenagers now. This generation already got hit with lockdowns, missed school years, cancelled exams, isolation, anxiety, and watching their parents struggle through a cost of living crisis. A lot of them lost confidence socially before they’d even had a chance to grow up properly. Now the answer is to ban them from social media? I get the concerns. There’s obviously toxic stuff online. But acting like taking social media away suddenly fixes teenage mental health feels completely out of touch. For loads of teenagers, being online isn’t just “scrolling”. It’s where their friendships are. Their humour. Music. Football clips. Investing education. Group chats. Communities. Even support when home life isn’t great. Adults created these platforms. Adults made them addictive. As adults we sit on our phones all day too. But somehow teenagers are the problem? And realistically, loads of kids will get around the ban within a day anyway. Fake birthdays, VPNs, second accounts, it’ll happen instantly. So who actually gets punished? Mostly normal kids who follow rules. Instead of bans, why not: Force tech companies to clean up algorithms, invest properly in mental health support, teach kids how to use social media safely and help parents understand the online world better. Teenagers already feel unheard half the time. Policies like this just make it worse. You can’t keep taking things away from young people and calling it protection. Give the kids a break! Atleast open some youth clubs or something 🤷🏾‍♂️

that’s the question isn’t it. what WILL she do? there are no youth clubs for her to attend. food, cinema tickets, any sort of third space activity is all too expensive. their parents are underpaid, saturday jobs don’t exist any more, children have truly been abandoned by the govt

Looks like EA is already implementing ways to pay off that new $20 billion debt. Now you can get ads directly in your video game, yay!
Electronic Arts has launched EA Advertising, which it says will see it working with companies and agencies to add brands into games in a way that will "enhance, not disrupt, the player experience". vgc.news/news/electronic-art…

She's beauty, she's grace, she has armor with cat face! We think Regina's sniper visor is very cute. Her enemies don't have time to think about anything, though.

This is absolutely insane. The suffragettes used far more extreme tactics than Palestine Action. They planted bombs, burned down private homes and smashed up art galleries. They killed five people! Her outrageous judgement is based on absurd historical ignorance.
The Lady Chief Justice: Palestine Action was not a direct action civil disobedience protest group like the suffragettes, but used violence to destroy property The suffragettes burned down country houses & train stations, bombed churches & sent letter bombs to politicians.

Was out to lunch last week and there was a baby that was sitting in the stroller with the tablet on watching bright colored slop. nobody engaging with them. Nobody picking them up nobody talking to them, just them watching the tablet for like 50 minutes.

The UK is heading down a very dystopian path… and the majority of this island is gleefully cheering it on under the guise of “child safety” 🙂 Mind you, none of this would even be a topic of discussion if parents would actually parent their kids…

This is surveillance by stealth. It is not about child protection
A Social Media ban will be announced tomorrow in the UK With everyone having to use Facial ID to prove they are over 16 A completely useless and costly intervention, the Government pays private companies for every single scan and under 16's will just use apps that evade it

I don't think any gaming experience has come close to just walking around the Presidium and listening to its music. Everything is coated in a deep sense of peace with a sinister undertone to it all. Its what a galactic society should be but something is underneath it.
One thing I feel ME1 does the best in the series, is show how absurdly huge the citadel is. Like this is only a SMALL part of the presidium!?
