Chanting for justice after Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manzo was gunned down by cartels.
The 47-year-old mayor, a fierce critic of President Sheinbaum’s inaction on organized crime, was assassinated during Day of the Dead events.
With over 30,000 cartel-related murders each year, anger is boiling over.
Sheinbaum now promises federal investigations and justice, but if history has taught us anything, do not hold your breath.
