Glad Nick is calling this out. No one that has watched the progress of these ideas the last few years could deny there has been a serious decline in "human capital."
A lot of people think this doesn't matter but it does. Having a lot of people who don't trust the government or believe some grab-bag of conspiracy theories centered around Jews means nothing if people are too stupid, paranoid and cynical to be organised politically.
There is obviously a deeper problem of the right having no intellectual leadership. The left lie, but they do it under the direction of a small elite of opinion making institutions and thought leaders who construct those narratives with political ends in mind. The way to get influence as a thought leader on the right is to simply get a lot of clicks, which means sensationalism, outlandish conspiracies, performative radicalism and reflexive opposition to any and all "official narratives."
