With the completion of my visits to Sanis Town, Sanis Village, Yonchujo, Lakhuti, and Sunglup from 11-13th June 2026, I have successfully concluded a two-month constituency tour covering every village under my constituency. The tour provided a valuable opportunity to interact with our people, understand their concerns and aspirations, review development activities, and assess grassroots needs. During the final leg, I also inspected the ongoing projects, and inaugurated the new Health & Wellness Centre at Sunglup, constructed under my LADP 2025–26 fund. I sincerely thank the people for their warm hospitality and trust, and express my appreciation to all officials, village leaders, party workers, supporters, and well-wishers for their cooperation throughout the tour. With renewed commitment, I will continue working for the welfare, development, and progress of our constituency and the State. @Neiphiu_Rio @MyGovNagaland

I also commend @NITIAayog for the Sampoornata Abhiyan and Sampoornata Samman Samaroh for recognising and honouring frontline workers, thereby, strengthening last-mile service delivery and grassroots development outcomes.

I appreciate @NITIAayog for conceptualising & steadfastly implementing the Aspirational Dists. Prog. & Aspirational Blocks Prog., which have significantly reshaped the development discourse in some of the most remote and underserved regions of the country.

As Nagaland continues its development journey, we remain grateful to @NITIAayog for its support, guidance & partnership. Together, we can unlock the immense potential of the NE as a key driver of India’s growth & contribute to Viksit Bharat @ 2047.

We are also pursuing for early resumption of petroleum & natural gas exploration & production activities in the entire State while safeguarding our constitutional provisions.

A momentous step was taken yesterday with execution of a Tripartite MoU between GoI, Assam, & Nagaland, paving the way for mineral oil operations in DAB along Nagaland-Assam border.

Agri & allied sectors remain backbone of Nagaland’s rural economy. With support of @DoNER_India, coffee has emerged as flagship crop of Nagaland under “Taste of Eminence” brand. We aim to expand cultivation & also seek support for agarwood value chain dev.

GoN has identified about 39sq km in Chathe Valley of Chümoukedima dist. for estb. a modern incubation city, Nagaki City. The proposed city is envisioned to catalyse eco. activities, create opportunities for the State’s young population & ease pressure on existing urban centres.

Human capital development remains central to Nagaland’s long-term growth strategy. We seek support of @NITIAayog for early estb. of IIT in Nagaland (260 acres in Nagaki City) & Greenfield AIIMS (200 acres) & strengthening of medical college (NIMSR).

Nagaland is experiencing one of the fastest urbanisation in the country. Kohima & Dimapur-Chümoukedima urban agglomeration account for nearly 60% of urban population. Rapid growth has led to severe traffic congestion & infra pressure. We proposed 14 flyovers & elevated corridors.

Kohima is the only State capital in India without an airport. We seek support for air connectivity via short landing strips in 4 dists, extension of Dimapur-Zubza rail line, expedite approval of Dmp-Tizit rail project, & dev. of inland waterways in the State.

Connectivity remains the principal driver of eco. transformation. We seek support for the 364-km Foothill Rd. (Trans-Nagaland Hwy) which can emerge as Nagaland’s primary eco. corridor, linking agri. hubs, mineral-rich belts, tourism destinations, industrial zones & trade centres.

The @FinMinIndia has allocated ₹3,880 cr under Part X-Pride of Hills of SASCI for FY 2026-27. This assistance is loan-based & conditional. Given Nagaland’s burden, additional borrowing to finance revenue expenditure is not a sustainable option & continues to meet shortfall.

Nagaland is facing a serious fiscal challenge following the discontinuation of Revenue Deficit Grants under the recommendations of the 16th Finance Commission (FC). We earnestly request support for provision of annual Special Grants during the entire award period of the 16th FC.

Attended the meeting of NE CMs with @NITIAayog VC @ashoklahiribjp Ji & shared Nagaland’s dev. priorities. I thank @NITIAayog for its guidance & tech. assistance, which have strengthened our dev. planning & accelerated progress towards achieving the SDGs by 2030.

Called on the Hon'ble Union Min. for Education, Shri @dpradhanbjp Ji, along with Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor, @NagalandSchool. We discussed strengthening educational infra. across the State. I look forward to his continued support in advancing educational dev. in Nagaland.

We once again appeal for the safe release of the 6 Naga hostages in a reciprocal & humanitarian manner so that they return to their loved ones. We hope this gesture will help pave the way for trust, understanding & dialogue as we strive for genuine peace, reconciliation & harmony
