We are an emergency shelter in North Dakota working to empower people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or food insecurity to live stable lives.
Remember: There is no health without mental health! #MentalHealth is just as important as physical health, and asking for help is a normal part of life. You should never feel like you have to take on the world ๐ alone. samhsa.gov/mental-health

What a great turnout at yesterday's cookout! A big thank you to Holy Family, who served something like 200 people. ๐ฎ
We managed to avoid the rain, and we had a little added bonus - Chris stopped by to play guitar and sing for the guests! ๐ธ๐ค
Faith is an important part of the healing process for many of our clients.
Vincent came to the Mission after pouring everything he had into caring for his mother, who had cancer. He found a new church in our community. They supported him during his search for a home and after!
Cookouts are back! ๐๐ซ Join us tomorrow at 5 pm in front of the Mission for a free meal and good community!
The food is being donated and served by the Holy Family Catholic Church Needs Committee. On the menu: smoked pork loin sandwiches, fruit, veggies, and homemade treats. ๐
We need your help!
Summer is here, and we're seeing many people in our community who need food and shelter. More than usual.
$20 provides 10 meals. $60 provides the first day and night of shelter, which comes with food, a bed, and one-on-one support.

Special treat for lunch today, thanks to @TheBossPizza! They stopped by with six trays of fried chicken, potato wedges, and fries. ๐๐ They had it all warmed up and ready to go...enough to feed at least 60 people!
Thank you so much for thinking of our neighbors in need. โค

Last night, 66 people stayed at the Mission. That's the most people we've had in May in 9 years.
These are the folks Jesus calls on us to help:
'whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me' (Matthew 25:40)

More than half of our clients report at least one mental health disorder (and more go unreported).
Weโre grateful to all who offer this support through the Mission and show compassion to people navigating mental health challenges. Let's continue to show up for them. โค

Just ran into a gentleman named Gary, who stayed with us briefly in 2024. We were so happy to hear that he is still doing well and feeling good about life! โบ
God places people into our lives every day. Itโs up to us to embrace these opportunities to serve. ๐
Friends, we need you! Support slows down this time of year, but so many people are coming to us in need of food, shelter, and a chance at a better life.

South-end neighborhoods had a chance to show their generosity during the GGFYP Orange Bag event. They delivered! โค
We picked up 8 large bags of food and hygiene products, plus a 50lb bag of rice that can feed 500 people. Thank you to the Orange Bag donors and organizers! ๐ฅซ
UPDATE: He did it! Tests passed, GED secured. โ
Next up is finding a job. He has more options than ever before. So proud of this gentleman and grateful for those who are providing the support he needs. More to come!
