June 5 is #WorldEnvironment Day! To celebrate MLA Melissa Sheehy- Richard and I visited the Benjamin Mills Wind Project, located in Hants West. On shore wind generation will contribute to Nova Scotia’s long term electricity price stability. These turbines support regional economic activity and enhances renewable energy infrastructure. Benjamin Mills directly supports Nova Scotia’s goal of 80% renewable electricity by 2030 and supports our GHG reduction targets. We can protect the environment and build up our economy. Sustainable development. Nova Scotia can and must do both.
