I played with RevenueCat's new experiments feature this year, but as I have custom price points for my apps based on the Purchasing Power Parity of each country, it took me a long time to set up all the new products with different base prices manually in App Store Connect β³
So I made Pricetag - a native macOS app to automate this task πβ¨
It uses the App Store Connect API to automatically set the prices for all countries according to a selected base price and PPP index
Currently available is data from Apple Music, the Big Mac Index, and OECD π making it possible to price your apps like the big players!
Price changes for individual countries are also supported there are a lot of other benefits because it's native

Last month I bought an Astro by Matteo @matteo_spada subscription. It's the best business expense I've made in a long time. This purchase has already paid off and I am very satisfied
I recommend this tool to anyone who works with ASO π₯
ποΈ WIN your app up on Times Square for a week π
This June, we're putting up 20 apps on a Times Square billboard. Your app could be one of those!
π 10 apps will be picked randomly from the RevenueCat userbase (no need to do anything: We'll let you know if you win)
π The other 10 will be randomly drawn from folks that:
1. Comment on this post with a link to their app, and
2. Share this post with their network

Nota ABC is my nicest app, but it serves a very small niche, Irish tunes players. I'm part of the niche, so I keep it tidy. π
I just released an update that lets user groups tunes into books.

One release yesterday, one today, I'm on a roll!

Yesterday I released Menu Plan 2.6. It fixes plan sharing, after a long and fruitful exchange with the Apple Developer support team. This bug was the only serious bug left in Menu Plan; it feels pretty great to have fixed it.

Incidentally, the previous implementation relied on the iOS 15 UICloudSharingController implementation, which was broken. I moved to the iOS 16 API, did some refactoring, and streamlined the UI.

I woke up with a piece of good news:
π Amplidude was approved, and it's Pending Developer Release.
I'll do my super-soft launch π later in the day, or tomorrow at the worst, and start collecting ASO insights.
#buildinpublic#buildinginpublic
The first submission of Amplidude was rejected because it has subscriptions and does not include EULA and Privacy Policy link buttons in the app UI. That's a first! I wonder if those @RevenueCat socks are still around π #buildinginpublic#buildinpublic
Yesterday evening I managed to submit Amplidude 1.0 to Apple for review, and now it's waiting time. π€
Meanwhile all the basic marketing material is ready at amplidude.app#buildinginpublic#buildinpublic
Last week I tested the conversion rate of a hard vs soft paywall with @revenuecat experiments. I compared two offerings with the same products but different metadata. The results confirmed what I already suspected.
π±Hard paywall generated 200% more trials, and 30% more revenue.
Soft paywall has a πmuch higher trial conversion rates, but the number of trials is so low that it still lags waaaay behind. π’
Of course, soft paywall has the benefit of letting more users into your app, and hopefully getting fewer negative reviews.
Also, soft-paywall users might end up buying the app after days, or weeks, althought I doubt the 30% gap might be bridged...
So which is better? It really depends on your priorities, as always π
