Israel is "punishing" Kenya because Kenya refused to bow down and support the Israeli-sponsored witch-hunt against ICC judge Karim Khan.
It has nothing to do with Ebola. Tanzania and Burundi border DRC and are not on the list.
Kenya strongly protests the decision by Israel to include the country amongst those whose travellers it will restrict. This is esp unfortunate given Kenyaโs support to regional surveillance & response to Ebola. With over 80,000 tests, no case of Ebola has been reported in Kenya.

I honestly donโt think weโre ready for this Eastleigh conversation.
Few Observations,.
You buy something in the majority of those shops and they want cash. If you donโt have cash, they have their own MPesa agents they tell you to withdraw from. They then make a quick call to the agent to confirm the withdrawal before releasing your goods.
That way, they never have to explain their cash flow, but you may one day have to explain yours to the taxman.
Weโre talking about a multi billion shilling industry with very little transparency, accountability or visibility into how money moves.
And as long as they remain the middlemen, pay zero tax, sell โcounterfeit goodsโ the government is comfortable
But how dare you use the same business model, open your own wholesale operation and bring your own goods through the port?โฆ..

My favourite part about all this Eastleigh debate is KRA will never target Eastleigh. If they decide to go after "tax evaders," they must target Kamukuji, Nyamakima, River Road, etc.

Ukitoka Miritini, a two lane underpass and two lane overpass abruptly murge into a two lane road in Changamwe. Engineers in that Uhuru-constructed road used some weird type of road bumbs to prevent coalition. Never seen an accident there. Its likely they do the same here
