On Oakland MLK Day 2018, over 2,400 volunteers removed 500 bags of trash and over 300 bags of green waste from Oakland’s streets, parks, and creeks.

OpenOakland volunteers spent time on Sunday at @oaklibrary helping people start the process of clearing their convictions with clearmyrecord.org. We'll be at Oakland Main Library again on Sunday February 10th from 3-5pm to offer more help with the Clear My Record tool!

Housing is a critical issue in CA. We must use all the tools in the toolbox to help. That's why I'm joint authoring #AB10 by my friend & colleague @DavidChiu which would generate $500m each year for new affordable housing to place safe, secure roofs over the heads of CA families!

We are proposing a huge increase to CA's low-income housing tax credit program with #AB10. Not only will this money have a big impact but it is a smart investment - for every $1 of state funds, we get $3 of federal funds to build affordable housing. latimes.com/politics/essenti…
