I don’t know who needs to hear this but you will be cheated in business. Unpaid invoices Clients negotiating for lower rates after the work is done Clients ghosting after work is done Incomplete payments Asking for a demo to get ghosted later And the worst part is that you can’t do shit about it. Until you’re making enough money to just say no. “Sorry I don’t start without a 50% advance” And as easy as it sounds, you can’t say it unless you know you’ve got enough to cover rent, subscriptions, personal expenses and runway for the next 3 months. That’s why the initial phase of a business feels like shit. You know what you’re supposed to do but you can’t because you’re living in scarcity. Do whatever it takes to get out of it.
