Non political tweet re the LA Lakers hiring JJ Reddick. People bashing the Lakers for making the hiring. But look from other side of the coin. No one is “rushing” to try to be Lakers coach. The elite coaches are all locked up. The UCONN coach stayed put.

Dysfunctional organizations will always make bad coaching hires. Not because they’re dumb. But because self-aware and talented coaches typically do not want to coach in dysfunctional organizations. The Lakers are dysfunctional. Their coaching hire was destined to be jacked up.

I have so far steered clear of saying all doctors should abandon insurance . But with respect to Pharmacies I am now increasingly of the view that pharmacies need to abandon insurance. PBMs are killing them

Joe Biden and DJT should do america a favor and not have a debate. We don’t need these two to debate. Thank God, the president, whoever it is, is limited to 2 terms

Columbia/HCA paid at the time 1.7billion fine for Medicare and Medicaid fraud and from what I can tell no one went to prison. Certainly not Rick Scott who was the CEO at the time. The inequity in our justice system sometimes leaves me depressed.

yahoo.com/news/harbor-ucla-d… This story helps explain why the NPDB doesn't protect patients. The greatest danger to pts is not lack of reporting to NPDB, but rather the fact that Hospitals intentionally and knowingly look the other way when concerns are raised about certain doctors

The obsession with Taylor swift and who she will endorse and people using her as a cultural wedge …it all makes no sense. We’ve lost our damn minds

The Steelers buffalo bills game should not be held tonight. Sports cannot be prioritized over people’s lives. The NFL should follow the NCAA March madness and have ALL playoff games in neutral dome stadiums

This is the disparity that sickens me. If an individual physician commits large healthcare fraud he’s going to Prison. When a hospital commits large healthcare fraud the executives never go to prison apple.news/AjboOjC9fRxGcMUac…

I hereby openly petition that the process of "promotion" in academic medical centers be modified such that the chair is removed from the process. Each faculty should submit their own package to an independent body within their institution

although it is not realistic, I sometimes wish every physician in the US whose academic promotion has been held up for years for political intradepartmental reasons got together and filed a class action lawsuit

the purpose of this post is to stimulate a process whereby the archaic way that faculty are promoted can be re-thought and re-designed and brought into the 21st century
