Last week, Shine’s Media Programme was proud to be represented at The Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia, for the annual gathering of international fellows participating in the Rosalynn Carter Mental Health Journalism Fellowship. The event brought together journalists from across the world to share their projects and explore how accurate, compassionate, and responsible reporting can challenge stigma and improve understanding of mental health. A huge thank you to our 2024/2025 fellows, Claire Darmody and Brian O’Connell, for their outstanding work throughout the past year and to our newly announced 2025/2026 fellow, James Wilson, who will carry this important work forward. We’d also like to thank Áine O’Meara, Shine’s Media Programme Lead, for travelling to Atlanta to represent Shine and support our fellows.
