If it turns out the EU was the problem all along, what are we going to do with all those overpaid experts who said the precise opposite?

#Brexit #NetZero So we’ve signed plenty of important trade deals & joined the CPTPP. We’ve spent a decade trying to stop any benefits of those kinds from Brexit tho Labour have finally started using them. China are only making the rules on Energy because we’ve sent all our emissions/ industry to them whilst they make our Wind/ Solar out of Coal & Slave Labour. Goodness me yes we need to ditch Net Stupid Zero!
Britain spent a decade choosing to be smaller in the world. Right now the rules on communications, energy and trade are being rewritten. By China. By Russia. By countries that take their own security seriously. We need to be at that table. That's a choice we must make. Strong countries get cheap energy. Weak countries pay whatever the strong ones decide.

For those not paying attention, under its previous management, this platform genuinely did promote race riots and the burning down of cities.
Replying to @afneil
How about buying- as a monopoly- the most important political information website in the world, which quite literally this week helped promote race riots in a British city?

Lessons from John Healey's resignation: - Huge blow to Sir Keir Starmer a week out from the Makerfield by-election; - Defence was of the few areas where the PM was meant to be strong; - Pressure now on Chancellor Rachel Reeves over why she drove such a hard bargain on defence; - The Labour Government feels it is fraying at the ages once again. More reporting and analysis on @GBNEWS now.

🗣️ 'The Foreign Office are not wet. They're drenched.' 🚨 With John Healey's resignation being commented on by Sir Malcolm Rifkind, a reminder of when the latter briefed Margaret Thatcher on a previous review of defence while Defence Secretary.

I am sorry to see a man of principle in @JohnHealey_MP resigning. Unfortunately if he thinks the defence spending plan is indefensible then so must all of we. Am not optimistic at all.
This is very significant - Defence Secretary quits over defence spending saying govt plan 'falls well short' of what is needed - Healey has always been loyal to Labour, but looks like he felt he had to be loyal to his commitments to defence too

This is a principled decision and a devastating attack on a Government that is failing to defend our country. John Healey’s resignation letter to the Prime Minister says it all: “Your DIP [defence investment plan] financial settlement — which I was first given in full on Monday afternoon this week — falls well short of what is required for defence and the country at this dangerous time.” What John Healey is too polite to say but which is plain from his letter is that this Government cannot be trusted to protect Britain. bbc.co.uk/news/live/cgqeg09p…

Politico-economic debate in this country is v difficult to take seriously. The only PM who made any attempt to change the path we've been on since 2017 was Truss, & all three main parties define their economic policy as "Not-Truss", & thus have no intention to change anything.
💥✍️ "When The Facts Change" Post "Leading economists" finally admit the UK is on course for an IMF bailout .... Where have they been for the past 12/18 months !?!! If our careerist, complacent "economics establishment" had started speaking out earlier, clearly warning of the dangers of ever rising borrowing and spending, the UK might now be in a much stronger position ... Instead, we are on the brink of a proper fiscal meltdown ... Hard not to think this @UKLabour government hates Britain, as it systematically destroys everything that made this country what it is So many of our industries closing. So many ancient schools closing. So many pubs closing There's going to be nothing left by 2029
Denby Pottery has been killed by this government. The murder weapons are the mad pursuit of net zero and ever-increasing labour costs. 200 years of Derbyshire history destroyed by Ed Miliband, Angela Rayner, and Keir Starmer. Shame on them. telegraph.co.uk/gift/5695767…
