I attended the State Internal Revenue Service/MDAs Collaborative and Performance Review Meeting today to reinforce the importance of strategic revenue mobilisation across Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), and Local Government Councils. I have always stressed at different fora that a financially strong state is key to sustainable development, and achieving this requires all stakeholders working together to increase revenue efficiency and block leakages. I commend the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service (EKIRS) for the significant improvements recorded in revenue collection and urge all MDAs to play active roles in tax compliance and financial discipline. Our administration will continue to support initiatives that enhance revenue transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
