What do you think of the frog design for Gollum from the 1977 production of The Hobbit by Rankin Bass?
I think from a creature-design standpoint, it was an incredibly smart and effective choice.
Since he lived on a pitch-black island surrounded by a subterranean lake, giving him webbed hands, large feet, and slimy, dark-green skin makes sense.

Disney Legend Margaret Kerry has passed away at the age of 97 after a battle with lung cancer. Kerry was the real-life inspiration, dancer, & live-action reference model for Tinker Bell in Disney's animated classic Peter Pan.

"The Golden Touch" (1935) was Walt Disney's first directorial effort after five years of producing, as Walt had grown frustrated with his team and wanted to personally show them how it was done.
But the result was… not it. The short flopped critically and creatively. Walt never directed another cartoon, and it remained a source of embarrassment to him for years to come.
