Once again @united has failed its customers. Stuck overnight in Houston, after being in the airport for more than 14 hours until they finally canceled our flight with no notice. No hotels anywhere and a computer system that crashed to prevent rebooking.

I get that weather happens. But communication also needs to happen. I would have made different choices earlier in the day that could have enabled me to sleep last night, instead of having nowhere to go (bc all hotels within 20 mi were booked).

@united customer service is also just the worst. Attempting to place blame on me for buying the ticket to get home when it’s the only thing I could have done. Do better.

Anyone who wants to call scientific research “wasteful spending” should have to get past Reviewer 2. Seriously, I wish people knew how hard we work for far less $ than could be made in industry, all because we care about helping society and mentoring the next generation.
