Examples of praying with vision:
• Career: “God, help me grow into a skilled filmmaker and open the right doors.”
• Marriage: “Lord, shape me into a faithful husband and prepare me for a godly marriage.”
• Character: “Help me become disciplined, wise, and consistent.”
Without vision, prayer can become vague:
“God bless me” → that’s unclear. God should bless you with what? 🤷🏽‍♂️
With vision, prayer becomes intentional:
“God, give me wisdom, discipline, and opportunities to build financial stability this year.”
Okay, vision is good, but God’s will matters more than our plans, as we see in Proverbs 19:21:
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
So yes, pray with vision, but hold that vision with humility, allowing Jesus Christ’s prayer:
“Not my will, but Yours be done.”
Praying without a vision is like playing football without a goal post
