Itās cause when u play a gig, whether ur ābigā or āsmallā u have pull & playing two parties creates competition potentially leading to the promoter losing money.

So, it safe to just communicate, and inform the promoter just in case. Cause they might be ok with it or they might be pissed. This is why radius clauses exist. But those can get out of hand as well.
