Over the last few days, I've started noticing bugs in the code generated by Claude Code Opus 4.8. I'm not sure whether this is a broader issue or not. Everything else is the same, including the claude.md setup. It feels like the Fable-related changes might be affecting something, but we'll see.

Used Claude Code with Opus 4.7 superpowers to do detailed planning and implementation for a feature. After running my own code review, I threw $2 into DeepSeek V4 Pro just to test it out and had it review the PR. 52 files, ~6345 insertions. It took 1.5–2 min total, burned 1.6M tokens and $0.06, and came back with 5 findings. Honestly not that surprised it still caught things despite the planning code review on the Claude Code side. Fed the findings back to Claude Code and it agreed all 5 were legit 😄

Caught an interesting production crash today 👀 A real user on an old Samsung Galaxy A6 (2.7 GB RAM) managed to trigger a native SIGABRT while the app was going into the background. Sentry breadcrumbs showed a LOW_MEMORY warning just seconds before the crash. Real users will always find edge cases your test devices never will 😅 Low-end Android optimization is honestly a completely different game: memory pressure background rendering OEM-specific behavior native crashes without JS stack traces Moments like this remind me why observability matters so much in mobile apps. Being able to go from: “a user said the app crashed” → to the actual native signal device context in minutes is incredibly valuable. “Works on my phone” is never enough in production mobile development 😄
