I got into Bitcoin mining back in 2012, I mined in total around 17 BTC in my garage, I had multiple homemade rigs each with six GPUs in them.
I attended one of the first Bitcoin meetups in Manchester, there were about ten of us, everyone there was for the future of Bitcoin and how to educate local businesses to adopt it. Some had hundreds of BTC but refused to sell it.
I was at the meetup purely for profit to discuss mining and selling it, I did not care about anything else.
I thought they were stupid..

Later on, I lost all my Bitcoin on an exchange called Mt. Gox because it got hacked, ended up making a loss due to the cost of electricity running the rigs.
I was the stupid one after all..
I often wonder how rich those people from that meetup are now.
