Cursor, a billions of dollars of worth of a company, can't even spell "1 day".(this is a 10 min fix) When did the sloppiness become a norm for those huge enterprises?

It's been almost 2,5 years since I've started incorporating AI into my design workflow. My conclusion: From Dec 2025 to Apr 2026, the models really hugely boosted my workflows. Since Apr 2026, it feels like we're seeing the peak/plateau. It no longer feels real improvement.

I'm with @edzitron on this: AI subscriptions are going away soon(And/or we're in the peak). Fable 5 is a proof. It is, and always should've been a VIP/Uber rich company thing. And we've been still enjoying it while it lasts.

While it's too obvious it's AI, scam emails have now better design than most billion dollar company newsletter/mailing designs lol.

This is Fable 5 generated PS 5 game controller. It's still not there, and AI prob never will be as good as a pro designer. But still the improvement is still huge.

I originally thought UX Design to be dead for good. I was so wrong. I'm correcting myself to say in today's ecosystem, it's almost the only Design branch. I'm working w product managers, developers quickly iterating on things including designs in front end, then asking me to fix. Which I very much enjoy doing so. This is a growing trend among many businesses, eliminating the design hand-off and relying on the designer's eye and front end execution. Remember when repeated myself like a parrot telling all designers to learn css, html, tailwind etc, for years? Well, we're here.

- Dashboard design: Dead -> AI does it now - Landing site design: Dead -> AI does it now So what's not dead? Creativity and vision: You're still the designer, either building blocks of layers in Figma and/or prompt your way thru AI. Design is a skill, not a mathematical task

Anthropic has a problem: - The Claude app is the world's worst UX/UI for working w AI - Claude only lets you use your Claude Code subscription properly on Claude app only Conclusion: Claude is unusable. They need a designer. A real one.

Design@X feels 2018 to me now. I design only in Cursor lately, and do animations w Remotion via prompts, not AE. I'd highly recommend any designer to embrace AI to be 2026 ready—find jobs, showcase AI driven portfolio. Because you have to be.

Confirming this: For anything that's not ultra complex, @cursor_ai Composer 2.5 outperforms anything, I mean ANYTHING. And it's ultra fast.

Recent observation with the companies/startups I've noticed: - Marketing teams no longer seek a designer involvement for tasks like decks, presentations or data visualization. AI makes it for them, and it's good enough for them - Most people just ask AI to design/build landings for them, and it's good enough for them. Which makes real designers more valuable, for things AI just slops generic crap, or when "it's not good enough".
