As our group went our separate ways, our friend remarked that it felt good to leave the Stolpersteine in better shape than we found them. David added that it wasn’t just meaningful for us, but also for the people who saw us cleaning. Hopefully, these plaques will shine a little brighter, and the roses left behind will remind others that someone worthy of remembrance once lived here.

The internet is no longer forever. You need to become your own archivist for whatever you are passionate about, because at some point this decade there is going to be a major purge and I strongly suspect >80% of global digital content will simply disappear.
Internet Archive has not been archiving since 10/8.
Google Cache has stopped caching.
The Alexa service - the one that used to rank web traffic (not the Amazon virtual assistant) is gone.

I love encountering "steelman" explanations for "unrealistic" nonmodern art. For eg, many cultures prefer "split-type" images over naturalistic ones. Instead of assuming lack of ability, Jan B. Deregowski points out split-type images give more information than perspective images
