if you are building an mcp server, please for the love of god remember that you have 3 users: (1) the model (2) the client developer (3) the end-user
don’t just wrap your rest api 1:1 as endpoints:tools & assume it’ll work

It matters because the effort to turn existing REST APIs into more LLM-friendly MCP servers will get that much easier:
- No new endpoints required (no /sse)
- More options to deploy (serverless)

A server that agentically searches and then summarizes the web/reddit/etc.
An agent that combines data sources to create news articles just for me in the morning
Those will want sampling unless you want to require users to bring their own keys.

It’s an honor anytime we see an OpenTools link shared. We will keep this service up free of charge forever, so long as it makes sense.
