Hi Schizos,
@InvisiblOptimum here,
For people who don’t have time or don’t want to read here’s a TL;DR
Yes the Mint didn’t go as expected. But we will still stick to our original development Roadmap as well as possible. We airdropped a Monad NFT to all Berachain holders. We will start the Schizo of the Hill Campaign this week. You can find the Roadmap and all info on our Discord / or here on X.
- Long Version -
There’s some stuff I want to address, as we have been getting some criticism, I don’t want to call it FUD but in essence it is. Mainly as you can imagine regarding the Monad Mint and the future and past of the Schizo Sybils Project.
- BERA -
As you all know we started our Main Project on Berachain. We had a very fun migration period with multiple Burn Ceremonies and after a few months of development launched our Flagship S.Y.B.I.L Game. This was one of the major milestones we had promised and delivered. We decided to pull the game because we have to rework some flaws in how the game logic handles referrals. Everything else is working as intended (especially the NFT-Staking / Yield Generation)
- MONAD -
Many Core Contributors and Loyal Fans from the community wanted us to also deploy to Monad. At that point I didn’t even know what Monad was as I was fully locked in on the Berachain Ecosystem. We decided it was the way forward to expand onto Monad because we wanted a) more feedback on the game and b) a potentially larger Playerbase.
General interest in the Berachain Ecosystem was fading and many larger Bera Projects were looking to support other chains. This was not an easy decision because supporting 2 chains & potentially different communities obviously increases the effort of maintaining everything and keeping everyone happy. But we decided as a community it was worth the risk and deployed to Monad.
Monad Foundation itself was very welcoming. We were even invited by
@cryptunez &
@mikeinweb to join Sharktank on the Monad Discord and were able to present our Game to more than 1500 People. We also decided to give out special prizes to people who played and especially those who won on Testnet.
While trying to expand on Monad we noticed that many projects were starting to “shun” us for having a bera past and were not willing to collaborate or talk with us. Labelling us as extractors or similar weird shit even though we made it clear we were supporting both chains in the long run and it was a community move.
I just want to clarify this here once and for all, we are a gaming project, we aim to provide entertainment, fun, vibes but also good tech. We prioritize what the community wants and we’re always open to feedback and suggestions from the community. Our NFTs will always be a core part of the projects we develop. We never promised anything we did not deliver on. We have a proven track record.
- THE MONAD MINT -
To get things out of the Way. We sold 60 NFTs through our Mint on Monad. We chose
@mintpadco as partner because they only charged 2 cents per MINT. Without dropping names, other platforms are asking for 3$ PER Mint. This was also a decision we made with our community in mind. Why let people pay 150 times the fees? Apart from this Mintpad was very professional and supportive on requests.
Now people are fudding that Mintpad looks sketchy. And yeah to be fair the Mintpage could be prettier but the tech behind the Mintpad NFTs is better than any other launchpad we looked at.
Obviously looking at the participation rate, it was not what we had expected. The Mint funds were supposed to fund further developments and incentivize our games and now we ended up with 2,5% of the funds we expected.
- MOVING FORWARD -
While this experience is a setback, we will not give up nor change anything about the current roadmap. While the mintfunds are not enough to hire development support, the funds will be used in their intended way as incentives for our games. We already went through the effort of creating the Collection, so the Mint will stay open until it is minted out. Schizo of the Hill will launch this week. Expect an Announcement on Wednesday. Huge Thanks to everyone who supported us thus far, thank you if you read this til the end.
We love what we do. We aim to deliver unique and engaging experiences on BERA and on MONAD.
Things will go on as usual.
