🚨 The City of Dallas inclement weather shelter will be located at 1010 First Avenue (Automobile Building at Fair Park). In partnership with Austin Street Center, OurCalling will be operating this shelter.
• Intake begins TODAY at 4:00 PM

On Wednesday, November 23, approximately 250 volunteers will be on hand to help serve Thanksgiving dinner to 500-plus men and women currently homeless, living on the streets, in the woods, and under bridges. Make a difference by signing up to serve at ourcalling.org/thanksgiving.

A donation drive-thru will be open from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. The public can help by collecting and donating new and gently used pants, jackets, and blankets for all genders and ages.

This year, OurCalling has given out over 64,000 items, including clothing and hygiene products, to the local homeless community but anticipates needing an abundant amount of pants, jackets, and blankets to help the ever-growing homeless population.

1/ Wayne Walker has seen a lot of pain and death as the CEO of faith-based homeless service provider @OurCalling. He estimates about five people experiencing homelessness die preventable or premature deaths each week in North Texas.
