One Man Band is seventhirtyatmorning’s most honest and vulnerable project.
It feels like a long movie, unfolding chapter by chapter, shot entirely in one take. Usually with conceptual albums, it takes a couple listens to understand its depth but 730 did an amazing job of articulating his thoughts and emotions in a way that felt easy to understand/resonate with.
The project might shy away from catchiness or “playlist-friendly” songs but it more than makes up for it with its intentionality imo. This isn’t a project meant to be shuffled-through. It’s meant to be experienced from start to finish. And in a music era dominated by singles, Eps, and playlist listening habits, that kind of extra effort by 730 is something I really appreciated while listening.
