This is really good news. When the Man City links popped up I was dreading to think who our recruitment team would've replaced him with. I don't trust them at all.
As for Porro himself it's so easy for our fans to get mad at him for what he lacks off the ball but what he offers on the ball is too important to let go of, especially in a De Zerbi system.
His availability is top notch too, in this 3 year period of weekly injuries at Spurs, Porro never or rarely seemed to get any. Since the start of the 23/24 season, Porro has made 41 more appearances for Tottenham than his fullback partner Destiny Udogie. That's a whole season's worth.

All of this I've previously mentioned on top of winning the Europa League with the club who took a gamble on him in the championship from Hibernian to now scoring the opening goal in the World Cup for his country. Both happening in the last month

Signing him for £3m from Hibs as a 23 year old when they were still in the Championship & he's gone on to play over 300 times for Villa aswell as captaining them in the UCL & inevitably a UEL final too. Love signings like these
