Why do no major crypto wallets support yubikeys as a hardware wallet? Yubikeys have been able to create GPG keys on the secp256k1 (EVM) and Ed25519 (Solana) curves since 2019.

Turns out such a thing does exist @lazorkit @seedless_wallet looks like I could use a yubikey or passkey as my wallet. No seedphrases

I was thinking about this yesterday. Children who haven’t been able to really formulate a thought are being killed. Children who haven’t been able to do anything good or bad are being killed. And the people who do it are feeling justified and smug about it.

Sensible defaults. I wish all tools I used understood the importance of sensible defaults

A year or two later, a friend showed me their Express app and I was confused. You had to configure the body parser? How do you send email? What about templates (this was before react)? What about background jobs? Too many decisions to make when you just want to ship software.

The DNC is the only reason you're not currently enjoying a second-term Sanders and a sane Supreme Court.

As a dev who wants to build secure apps, it's aggravating how the new web 2 passkey standard & web 3 hardware wallets use device-only private keys for signatures, but neither offer encryption! We made infra that enables a secure web but forgot to create an API for it!

This. Many L2s are actually, quite literally, a scam. That's not what Toly is saying, but I think it's the right conclusion

Solana has had years and years of centralization fud because the hardware is expensive, when the alternative is literally honest majority multisigs. The former has always been communicated front and center, while the latter is obfuscated through layers of marketing.

The monolith pattern isn't inherently bad, it's just very hard to get right so most organizations are better going with microservices. The only reasonably good implementation of a monolith I've ever seen is the Solana blockchain.

AI can and should be used as a democratizing force. Imagine a communist AI planning portions of the economy and having its alignment programmed via on chain direct democracy

hating crypto is such a bizarre personality trait you hate the fact that many computers around the world can agree on a piece of state without requiring an intermediary? Wtf are you even hating at that point? Math? Do you have a hard on for things requiring single servers? Ok

The average Bitcoin transaction uses 5 billion Joules of energy. The average Ethereum transaction (post-Merge) uses 144k Joules of energy The average Solana transaction uses 658 Joules of energy. That’s less than a Google search. Few.

Just so it's on the record. I'm anti destruction of innocent lives no matter who is perpetrating it.
No, the whole world doesn't stand with Israel. People who aren't indoctrinated into hate understand that there are two sides to these horrible events and that innocent lives matter, ON BOTH SIDES.

In the grand theatre of economic transformation, Ethereum presents itself not as a harbinger of genuine revolution, but merely as a novel spectacle of bourgeois upheaval. As the petite bourgeoisie revel in this digital carnival, the visage of oppression subtly transforms, yet its essence remains inviolate, forever pressing upon the countenance of the toiling masses with a boot, albeit of a different style, yet no less ruthless and unrelenting. In the sacred quest for a truly stateless digital dominion, wherein networks of unfettered communication and transaction flow seamlessly amongst the proletariat, emancipated from the yokes of capitalist intermediaries and state surveillance, the mere cost of state creation ought to be trivial, nay, negligible. Only when the means of digital creation become accessible and cheap, akin to the very air we breathe, shall the dawn of a truly decentralized and stateless digital realm be upon us, casting away the shadows of bourgeois digital tyranny that Ethereum so subtly embodies.

BTC has become a bad joke; without security, scarcity, utility, or security There is no reason for BTC to even exist, as it serves no purpose besides speculation An embarrassing state of affairs considering BTCs original ethos Bitcoin's vision can now only succeed without BTC!
