This outstanding map shows the different ages of the skylines across North America. Austin vs Fort Worth is fun. What urban histories do you see reflected here? Source: buff.ly/4cQpwjK

If Charlotte's transit plans from the 1990s had gone accordingly, today the city could've had five light rails traveling from Uptown to the suburbs. axios.com/local/charlotte/20…

Sad to find out 88 China Bistro on 3rd St closed. Some of the nicest owners. Hope they enjoy the next phase after 18 years!

Alternatively: "the days of a vertical office park are gone." So let's stop treating downtown streets like extended highway onramps to flush vehicles in and out everyday, and rethink them as PLACES that can support downtown families, local businesses, arts, music, etc.

Instead of an ‘alternative’ plan that is basically the 1980s status quo, we need to be bold and NOT widen 77 now, if ever. Kicking the mobility can down the road 10 years is just what will stifle the regions growth and quality of life, not what will allow it to thrive.
After @NCHouseSpeaker dismissed Charlotte's transit plan, here is an alternative that might satisfy Charlotte GOP legislative leaders: wfae.org/charlotte-area/2023…

The city’s economic development office gave us the Truist sign, and now this. And they get to hide behind non-public decision making.
We are surprised that this option (which CATS calls the Locally Preferred Alternative) now has a higher ridership projection than it did in June. We, like many others, would like to know what changed in the model.

If we’re doing a bracket of which restaurant staffs can scrap, Waffle House and Popeyes are unquestioned no 1 seeds. Waffle House is the No 1 overall seed.
