Tested 5 EU located low end #vps offerings on IO performance (4k random 75%/25% R/W). Spread was huge: 70/20(!!) to 24k/4k IOPS. Median was 3k/1k.

There were no bats, only some kind of swallows. Also observing nearby abandoned grain silo did not yield any hints of bats inhabiting it.

Tonight I'll have to go outside after sundown to look for bats. I think that I saw one or two bats hunting yesterday just outside my window.

Observed a sample of rare PP9/6F100 #battery during weekend. Expired in 2002. Might have been used to power a clock on a sports field.

"New" #Pentax ME camera and an extra 135mm lens arrived. After some surface cleaning the set was deemed usable for taking pictures.
