This political influencer just hit 5M views on Instagram using AI-generated content. Six months ago they were lucky to break 500 on a reel. Same niche, same ideas, same posting schedule, just completely invisible on the algorithm. For months they were doing the classic creator thing: - Talking head videos - Green screen backgrounds - Decent production A few hundred views on a good week, basically nothing on a bad one. Then they switched to AI-generated content and the numbers just... flipped. Same political commentary, same takes, but produced entirely differently (literally millions of views on content that would've died at 300 before). The ideas didn't change, the niche didn't change. They just found a format that was actually trending and the algorithm started doing the work for them. Comment "BREAKDOWN" below and I'll send you the full case study.

I love hearing the “origin stories” of world class talent. Sometimes it originates from passion shown from a young age, or a high risk career pivot after starting in a different field. In the case of @alecwilcock, it’s a bit of both. Here’s how he became a top 0.1% video marketer

Don’t think anyone has seen such radical founder-led marketing to this extent, for a company this size, in at least one or two decades. Saylor is truly 1 of 1. Case study unfolding in realtime (whether good or bad, still remains to be seen)

Every startup wants to do video in-house (*cough*, I mean, “storytelling”). But almost nobody knows how to start or build the optimal team for it. @alecwilcock (@ElevenLabs) has done it... Multiple times. Here's his ideal video team that achieves fast liftoff AND can scale 🧵👇

TLDR: Start with a generalist. Scale with editors. And in the end, aim for a combo of creators, editors, and one ops person who makes it all fire on all cylinders.

Why does it feel like this has totally reversed in the last 6-12 months

Glam Up hit $1.8m ARR in 8 months. Sprout hit $3m ARR in 7 months. The key to that was our UGC playbook. I'm finally dropping the playbook and lowkey I'm scared to drop this. You'll understand why once you read it. It's gonna be three parts but here's part 1. Part 1 itself is 40 pages long. I made sure it's tactical advice and upfront with no BS. Bonus: repost reply 'warmup' and I'll DM you the Account Setup Warmup module from our internal creator course. Must be following so I can DM. prep-ai.typeform.com/to/X7g0…

YouTube is one of the most underrated growth channels for tech startups - yet most teams feel intimidated by it. If that’s you, then you’re probably just overthinking it. @alecwilcock of @ElevenLabs has grown multiple startups (including two unicorns) largely through YouTube. His playbook is simple 🧵👇

*Tip: After you publish the video, use @OpusClip to automatically clip it into YouTube Shorts. Shorts are increasingly prioritized in the search results of both Google and YouTube, so this turns your 1 video into dozens of new ranking opportunities (and way more views). Absolute no-brainer.

The last 20% is your moat
The last 20% isn't most of the work, it's all of the work.

Episode 1 with @alecwilcock is officially live (link in 🧵) Alec has driven over 100M views on YouTube for the startups he’s worked at, and to call him the YouTube master would be an understatement. This episode is fun and ridiculously valuable - We talk about how Alec first got into video, his overarching YouTube philosophy, opinions on trendhopping and experimentation, and how to build the right video team. If you’re a startup trying to figure out your YouTube strategy, you can’t afford to miss it
I’m launching the podcast I’ve always wished existed… Introducing Hyperspeed, where I’ll be uncovering the growth marketing secrets behind today’s fastest-growing startups. My goal is to create the must-listen show for startup growth marketers: • Interviews with the growth geniuses behind unicorns like @ElevenLabs and @GammaApp, AND the rising stars behind *future* unicorns • Playbooks shared by rising stars behind *future* unicorns • Spanning every growth marketing domain – paid media, creator marketing, PLG, and more And of course, I’ll be using our newest features at @OpusClip (and Agent Opus) at every step. And sharing those tips with you! My first guest, @alecwilcock of ElevenLabs, is the GOAT of YouTube strategy for startups. Since joining ElevenLabs, he’s driven tens of millions of views for their YouTube channel. In this episode, we’ll cover his playbook for building a YouTube strategy from scratch at a startup, how to build a lean video team at every stage, and more.
