Travelling today to Poona by the Deccan Queen after a long time. These days it's usually by Vande Bharat, a more comfortable option. But DQ has its own charm. If the service of DQ is upgraded to the level of VB, it will raise its std so much. It's a more historic train

Have been praising Vande Bharat between Mum - Pune on social media. However today on way to Mum had a really bad experience in bogie C13 which was stinking. Toilets not clean from Pune onwards. #gmcentralrailway #centralrailway

A final chance for Rohit to redeem himself in the public eye. He has the talent as a batsman, he also has to show acumen as the captain to change strategy (even) halfway through the day to ensure we don't loose. With fingers crossed, we await the day's play India India!!

Saw 'Freedom at Midnight' by Nikkhil Advani. While most actors looked very young, was moved by the image of the Sardar. The general portrayal about him has been that of a rigid hardliner and was pleasantly surprised to see him as a realist, willing to adapt and change with time

Happy heavenly birthday to the legendary John Lennon, who would have been 84 today. Here is one of John Lennon's last public performances before he was murdered. #JohnLennon

I am wondering if the turning point in yesterday's final was Bumrah's wkt in the 18th over or was it the brilliant catch by SKY in the last over? Appreciating Kohli's steady knock, would it be counted as a matchwinning one?

Only those who saw them in action can understand the total awe these two greats were held in, in their prime

What's happening near Manor WEH; On way to Sanjan and a mother of all traffic jams. Both ways. Cannot even turn back. Is it work going on or is it an accident? #Mumbaitrafficpolice #palghartrafficpolice #Gujarattrafficpolice #highwaypatrol

In this day and age with the private sector bending over backwards for more business, am waiting outside SBI branch, at 2 pm on my scooter. My wife, who had gone in, came out & told me we will have to wait for sometime as the relevant person had gone for lunch Time to wake up

Watching live relay of a test match (India-Eng) after a long time. One day and T20 have ruined our taste. Loving it

1966 and Basil D'Oliveira lifts Lance Gibbs straight for six on his way to 88 as Seymour Nurse, Jackie Hendriks, Fred Titmus and umpire Syd Buller also gaze skywards - unfortunately for England some bloke called Sobers scored 174 and took 8 wickets - never heard of him myself πŸ€”

Lots of reasons given for the Aussi WC victory yesterday like better fielding, better captaincy etc My thoughts: They were mentally stronger, Knock-out stage matches are always tougher. Temperament makes a huge difference.

First class bogies of #Mumbailocaltrains need to be aggressively coloured. Just red lines across is not good enough. On a holiday when crowds are less I do sometimes shout first class to people jumping onto the compartment and there are many who immediately vacate the bogie.

Speed with which UPI payments are being accepted at so many places is awesome. But Taxis and Rickshaws are by and large not accepting. Government as well as respective union leaders are requested to push taxi / rickshaw drivers to also accept. Will make life ever so simple

Are sedans loosing their grip on Indian roads? Most new car releases are hatchbacks, SUVs. A decade back the Honda City was a much sought after sedan, also Amaze. Now where are the Toyotas and Tata sedans? Maruti has Ciaz, Hyundai has Verna but we hardly see them on roads now.
