Blessings to the faithful ushers who smile and nod when you exclaim 'how did that whole service fit into 45 minutes‽', when in fact the service was 1 hour 15 minutes.
I had a dream where I was invited to be an astronaut by NASA and flew to space. Just got on and took off like I was qualified, no doubts in my mind. If that doesn't speak to the profound overconfidence of white men, I don't know what does.

In the early church virginity was queer sexual defiance to secular gender/sexuality norms at points enforced by law when not by custom. People were supposed to be married by 14 and for a teenager to demand virginity and celibacy was to be punk to the extreme. Xtian=Anarchy
