I was proud to present the Student Hero Award to 4th-grader Cameron Taylor from Tolar ISD. Through “Cameron’s Lemonade for Kids,” he raised over $600 to buy toys for kids at Cook Children’s Hospital. Cameron is a shining example of our next generation of entrepreneurs & leaders!

Last week, I connected the Carroll ISD Board President and TEA Commissioner, who worked out a compromise for TEA to accept CISD’s new PreK tuition rate. Every school district’s needs differ, so I proudly support local control. I was happy to help CISD find a positive resolution.
