Autotrader.ca put the average cost of a new car at $63,264 in the third quarter of 2025, with a used at $36,911 - plus financing costs, insurance, gas and maintenance. In 2026, we will keep advocating for viable alternatives to driving to make life more affordable.

Shopping for a car used to be an exciting occasion, but for some buyers, excitement is getting priced out of the market as they have to dig much deeper to afford it. edmonton.citynews.ca/2026/01…

“The city has done a great job maximizing the space by building the bike lanes. In Westmount where I live, we also have numerous bike lanes and once they were built, most of the residents got used to them and the bike traffic increased considerably.” 👏👏 edmontonjournal.com/opinion/…

Day 1 of advanced voting was reportedly busy. Lots of tight races are expected so every vote matters! We encourage you to support candidates who believe in regular funding for active transportation to build out a safe, well connected network in YEG to walk, bike and roll.
The 2025 Edmonton Election is here! Advance voting stations open today at noon. They’re open every day until Saturday. Find a voting station near you at edmonton.ca/forvoters.

We believe there will be a similar outcome for our active transportation projects like the renewal of 132Ave - in time the controversy will be forgotten and improved urban living will be the legacy. Let's continue to be bold. #yegcc
Every bold urban transformation asks a question: what will people remember—the controversy or legacy? Showing leadership, Seoul Mayor Lee Myung-bak bet on the latter, replacing a motorway with a waterway. 20 years later, no one regrets the decision or remembers the controversy.
