I’ve started going back through old cottage videos and keep finding Nisha there beside the music. Here she is on the left, close by as always, while I play a slow version of Turlough O’Carolan’s Bridget Cruise. Cello, garden, sunshine, and the small black dog who was so often part of it all.

Last week, we said goodbye to our beautiful Nisha. She came to us as a rescue, after being found as a stray, and became a deeply loved part of our family, and part of the music too, appearing quietly in so many of the cottage videos. Thank you to everyone who noticed her, asked about her, and loved her from afar. The music in the video is called “Nisha”, it's a melody we used to sing it to her at home during Covid lockdown, and I later recorded it on my album Solace. She was deeply loved. We miss her so much

On @RTERadio1 this morning around 9:50am I'll be playing some cello live and chatting bout my performance this Friday with the RTE Concert Orchestra @rte_co then straight accross the hallway for rehearsal with the big orchestra! I'm expect I'll be shedding a few tears of awe hearing my little cello tunes played by a huge 45 piece orchestra, what a day!
