I just finished The Book of the New Sun and Urth of the New Sun, right after reading CS Lewisās Space Trilogy.
Let me tell you friend: both are wild sci-fi deep cuts. But boy are they both doing very different things to (and with) the reader.

One kind of work trusts explanation.
The other trusts formation.
What is true? vs. What is this making of you?
Iām increasingly convinced the second question is the urgent one.
